Email!

Hey...just forwarding on an email I received....

Hey Megan,
I bet You are doing well.
We Visited Kachibore Refugee Camp where 20,000 people are left with no homes, house burnt to ashes, animals taken and innocent daughters raped. Steve and I spent the night at the camp. How can a Muzungu{White}Sleep in a refugee camp? They shook their heads with disbelief. Late in the night some came and discovered that a Saddleback Church Representative really was sharing with them the pain and loss in the cold.
Long live Saddleback, God Bless Steve.
Love,
James Juma Wanyonyi
Long time Saddleback Friend in Conflicted Kenya

  1. One of my favorites - James 1:27
" True religion is caring for orphans and widows.."

Could this verse have been walked out any better than the example told in the email from James.

    God's blessings to you.

  4. Steve, I am so blessed every day when I read your emails. You took me to Kenya in January 2006. I recognize alot of the people that have posted emails. The photos take me back. I have Thomas' picture on my wall when I was holding him at Mercy. I look at him every day. My heart is broken and I am devestated at the destruction of our beautiful Kenyan brothers and sisters. Our thoughts and prayers are with you always. You are more incredible than words can express. We love you, Tamara...Gloria, Ressonyia, Debbie and Jolynn
